My first week in April
I entered a company, however, I've never worked at my company because I work with a big company which work with my company. I'm hired as a translator. I was thinking I had to have normal desk work first, actually, my first job at the company was translation. I was surprised. Everybody in the company is so kind, I felt relief. In the same building, there are some people from my company, however, there is only me from my company in the devision which I belong, sometimes people from my company came over my desk and talked with me. I think they are worring about me, or they want to relax having a chat with me because my desk is far away from their desks. Anyway, I'm really glad.
I was super nervous. I think most of people feel nervous on the very first day. In my case, I was far away from the Japanese society and work, so I had no idea what should I do. I also thought I didn't have any confidence to adjust the society. The atmosphere of the company is pretty good. My desk was already prepared, I think I'm really lucky.
Ken worried about me. We had dinner on my second day of work. I remember Ken also felt happy that I started working.
On Friday of the first week, I had a lunch together with female workers in my devision. They invited me for their small party. One of the reason why they had a lunch party is having Hanami. Hanami is a kind of party, we usually have a meal (lunch or dinner) under the cherry blossoms. It was said that the first weekend of April was the best day to Hanami, so they planned have a lunch near the building where we work. The other reason is I was a new worker. A lady just came back from maternity leave, the party meant welcome and welcome back. It was a good chance to know each other, I appriciated them that they invited me.
At that night, I had another welcome party. The workers from my company held the party. Of course I had to talk a lot, I don't remember what I ate. I remember I was hungry after I came back home. I think welcome party is very good. As I said above, it's very good to know each other, we can work together easily from next day.
Ken and I was planning to have Hanami at somewhere. Last year we went to Kyoto wearing kimono. It was pretty good, I wanted to do it again this year, however, I don't have enough money and we've already enjoyed that, so we changed a plan. We went to Universal Studios Japan (USJ). Last time we went there was around Christmas. We saw huge Christmas tree. At that time, Ken wasn't my boyfriend, I felt different this time. There are so many people at there, however, we didn't wait for a long time because we didn't ride on any attractions. We've already experienced attractions, so we just walked around and enjoyed different kinds of show this time. Everything in USJ was wonderful and I was really happy though. Oh, I couldn't do one thing. There are Elmo, Cookie Monster and Gingerman (Shrek) shaped cookies at a restaurant, it was sold out when we wanted to buy...
Anyway, my first week was so busy and exciting.
